Who We Are
Glocal Ventures, Inc. (GVI) is dedicated to holistic, socio-economic development in Vietnam. GVI mobilizes volunteers from around the world to partner with communities in Vietnam to see dreams realized and lives transformed. Volunteers serve alongside communities to help people work together in interdependency, taking charge of their situations and moving towards a more empowered and satisfying life as individuals and community.
GVI’s strategy for mobilizing volunteers is based on a careful assessment that evaluates community needs and plans for sustainability. GVI then encourages volunteers to use their vocations and skills to engage communities to help them overcome challenges while developing meaningful relationships.
GVI has been committed to Vietnam since 1995. In 2003, GVI began to see the importance of mobilizing volunteers to engage communities in Vietnam to bring about transformation. To further this goal, GVI opened a representative office in Hanoi in 2007. It has been recognized by the Vietnamese government as an international non-governmental organization (INGO) since 2005.
GVI is a registered 501c (3) non-profit organization based in Keller, Texas (in the Dallas-Fort Worth area) and has a representative office in Hanoi, Vietnam.
