Birla Orphanage - Hanoi

Over the past six years, Glocal Ventures has developed and maintained a relationship with Birla Orphanage in Hanoi. This has included the annual beach trip to Do Son, providing financial assistance for school supplies and uniforms to improvements to the houses, and countless hours of time spent with the children. Through these investments, a love and a sense of family has been developed for the children and staff of Birla Orphanage.

Due to the trusting relationship Glocal Ventures has established with the orphanage, we have built on ways of impacting the lives of the children. Today, more than 200 people have traveled to Vietnam to help with the summer camp that is anticipated throughout the year by the children at Birla Orphanage. During this camp, the 110 children at the orphanage enjoy a carnival setting which includes games, arts and crafts, talent shows and story telling. Afterwards, relationships are maintained through letters, which give the children an opportunity to communicate with someone outside of Birla who cares for them and has an interest in their future.
